GHV/CVF partner with Art for Change to expand creative empowerment to rural Rwanda

In an exciting new collaboration, Green Horizon Ventures and Creative Visions Foundation are proud to partner with Art for Change, a thought-led NGO dedicated to using art as a catalyst for social transformation in Rwanda. This partnership is hinged on our shared mission to drive positive change through creativity, innovation, and community engagement.

Art for Change has already established itself as a dynamic force for artistic and social development in Rwanda. By providing young people and local artists with the resources, training, and platforms to express themselves, the organization fosters empowerment and social cohesion. However, until now, much of this work has been concentrated in urban areas, leaving many rural communities without access to these transformative opportunities.

With funding and strategic support from GHV/CVF, Art for Change will be able to extend its reach to rural areas of Rwanda, where access to artistic education and creative expression remains limited. This expansion will help bridge the gap between urban and rural opportunities, ensuring that more communities can benefit from the power of art.

Funding will support training programs for former street children in the area of art and creativity, empowering them with the skills to mentor other young people and cultivate a culture of artistic expression and social change. By investing in local talent, we are not only providing immediate opportunities but also creating a sustainable ecosystem for artistic and economic growth.

Art for Change has demonstrated that artistic expression is a powerful tool for addressing pressing social issues, from advancing global peace to environmental awareness. By expanding into rural areas, they will be able to engage more young people in meaningful projects that amplify their voices and inspire collective action.
