Celebrating ‘peace, love, and students rebuild day’, a path that is worthy.

February 14 is widely recognized as a day of love, but for Green Horizon and Creative Visions Foundation through Student Rebuild, it is more than just Valentine’s Day. It is a day to inspire young people worldwide to engage in peacebuilding through creativity, compassion, and action. Dubbed ‘Peace, Love, and Students Rebuild Day,’ this global initiative invites students to express their visions of peace through art, music, poetry, and other creative works.

The power of youth creativity

Through the Spark Peace Project, young people are encouraged to use their voices and talents to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges. For every creative work submitted on February 14, Creative Visions will donate $10 to organizations dedicated to peacebuilding efforts. In addition, each participating student’s engagement will generate a $5 donation to further support global peace initiatives.

This initiative provides an opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of peace, compassion, and global interconnectedness. Green Horizon and Student Rebuild offer ready-made lesson plans and creative resources, making it easier for educators and students to engage with the project meaningfully.

Why peacebuilding matters now more than ever

Young people today navigate an increasingly complex world. Now more than ever, initiatives like the Spark Peace Project empower youth to be catalysts for positive change. By fostering a sense of community and purpose, these activities inspire students to see themselves as active contributors to a more peaceful and compassionate world.

By engaging students in creativity and global citizenship, we are building a foundation for a more understanding and united future. Through their art, words, and actions, young people have the power to shape the world.

How to get involved

Students, educators, and youth organizations can participate by creating and submitting works of art, essays, or other forms of creative expression that reflect their perspectives on peace. Schools can also host classroom discussions and activities based on the provided resources. Every submission contributes not just to a global dialogue but also to tangible peacebuilding efforts through donations to organizations making a real impact worldwide.

This February 14, let us redefine the meaning of love—one that extends beyond romantic expressions to include love for humanity, unity, and the dream of a peaceful world. Join the movement and make a difference through creativity, compassion, and action.
